The Story of Spa Line: From an Aromatherapy Classroom to Thousands of Personal Care Users

Looking back at more than 20 years—and goodness knows how many classes—I remember one

of our early introductory aromatherapy classes.

Who was there? Jill? Germaine? Kelly? Marg? Harolyn? I’m not positive anymore, but I think

they were all part of that class.

Lee and I were trying to make the section on skin both useful and fun. We wanted a hands-on

activity that would help everyone understand this wonderful organ a little better—and experience

for themselves how aromatherapy could work with it.

Then came an inspired idea:

“Let’s make blends for each skin type, and everyone can make one for themselves to take

home.”

And just like that, Spa Line was born.

We created a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer for each skin type. The formulas have stood the test

of time, although some of our clients have rather inconveniently moved from the Normal group to the Mature group as the years have passed!

More than 20 years later, Spa Line is still one of our most popular ranges.

So, to those wonderful people who shared that class with us all those years ago—thank you. You helped create something that became a lasting part of Casaroma.

Like so many Casaroma products, Spa Line didn’t begin in a boardroom. It began with

people, a need, a little creativity—and the question, “What can we make that will help?”

More than twenty years later, those original formulas are still part of everyday life at Casaroma. They may have changed a little over the years as ingredients have evolved and we have continued learning, but the philosophy has never changed.

We wanted skincare that respected the skin rather than fought against it, supported each skin type rather than treating everyone the same, and made daily skincare feel simple instead of complicated.

That philosophy continues today.

So...How Do You Use Spa Line?

One of the questions we hear most often is whether people really need all three products.

The answer is yes, because each product has a different purpose.

Each step prepares the skin for the next one.

Morning Routine

Step 1 – Cleanse

Every morning, your skin has already been working while you were asleep. It has produced natural oils, released perspiration, and continued its remarkable repair process throughout the night. A gentle cleanser removes what no longer needs to remain on the skin without stripping away the healthy protective barrier your skin works so hard to maintain.

Massage a small amount onto damp skin using light circular movements before rinsing with comfortably warm—not hot—water.

Step 2 – Tone

Many people think toner simply removes leftover cleanser.

A well-formulated toner does much more.

It refreshes the skin, prepares it for moisturizer, and helps restore the skin PH after cleansing.

Simply apply a small amount to a reusable cotton pad or into clean hands and smooth over the face and neck. Let it dry naturally.

Step 3 – Moisturize

Think of your moisturizer as helping support the skin barrier while helping reduce moisture loss throughout the day.

Apply a small amount while the skin still feels slightly fresh after toning.

Include your neck and upper chest.

Those areas deserve just as much care as your face.

Evening Routine

Evening skincare is slightly different because now we're removing the day.

Dust, Pollution, Makeup, Sunscreen, Natural oils, and Perspiration.

Begin with your cleanser, follow with your toner, and finish with your moisturizer exactly as you did in the morning.

The routine only takes a few minutes, yet those few minutes become one of the nicest ways to tell yourself the day is over and it's time to rest.

Which Spa Line Is Right For You?

Instead of trying to make one product suitable for everyone, Spa Line was designed around five different skin types.

Normal Skin

Balanced and comfortable.

Maintains healthy skin without over-drying or excess oil.

Dry Skin

Supports skin that often feels tight, flaky, or thirsty for moisture.

Oily Skin

Helps refresh skin while respecting its natural balance rather than trying to strip away every trace of oil.

Sensitive Skin

Thoughtfully formulated for skin that is easily irritated and appreciates a little extra care.

Mature Skin

Designed for skin whose needs naturally change over time, supporting moisture and comfort as the years go by.

One of the Things We Love Most About Spa Line

Skincare doesn't have to be complicated.

It doesn't have to involve ten different bottles covering the bathroom counter.

Three thoughtfully chosen products used consistently, morning and evening, often become a routine that people actually enjoy and continue using.

Consistency almost always produces better results than buying another product that sits unopened in the cupboard.

Spa Line was created with a different philosophy.

Cleanse.

Tone.

Moisturize.

Three simple steps chosen according to your skin type.

For more than twenty years, that uncomplicated routine has helped people care for their skin morning and evening without wondering what comes next or whether they need another bottle.

Even today, a complete Spa Line set of cleanser, toner, and moisturizer costs about $20, making it one of the most affordable professional-quality skincare routines available. We have always believed that natural skincare should be something people can enjoy every day, not something they feel they have to save for special occasions.

Sometimes the best routine isn't the one with the most products.

It's the one you'll happily use every morning and every evening for years to come.
