Some products are created because we decide there is something missing from the Casaroma line and set out to develop it. Tropical Nectar didn't happen that way at all. In fact, we never really intended for it to become a product line.

A couple of years ago, when we were doing Fragrant Fridays, we challenged ourselves each week to create something new. It gave us a reason to pull different essential oils from the shelves, experiment with combinations we might not normally put together, and see where they took us. Some blends were interesting, some we enjoyed for the week, and every once in a while we created one that made us stop and think, Oh, we really like this one.

Tropical Nectar was one of those.

We loved it enough that instead of simply moving on to the next Fragrant Friday, we sent it out to some of the people in our testing groups. We wanted to know whether we were the only ones who thought we had stumbled onto something special. Samples also began finding their way into some of the little thank-you gifts we include with orders being shipped from Casaroma.

And then something interesting started happening.

People remembered it.

They asked about it again. They wanted to know whether they could buy it. And then they started telling us what else they wanted us to make with it. Could we make Tropical Nectar Bubble Bath? Shower Gel? Shampoo? Lotion? A Roll-On? Instead of us trying to figure out whether this blend deserved a permanent place at Casaroma, our customers were essentially making that decision for us.

So we listened.

What began as one of our weekly experiments has now grown into the Tropical Nectar Collection, and this week we're finally introducing it properly into the Casaroma line and making it available on the website.

There is something we really love about that, because after more than 30 years of creating products, some of our favourites still begin in exactly this way: we experiment, we send something out into the world, you tell us what you think, and sometimes you love something enough that you simply won't let us forget about it.

Tropical Nectar is one of those products.

And now, after a couple of years of you asking us for it, we think it's about time we made it official.
