Let's Have a Tea Together, Spend some time together, and learn about Time. Have you noticed that you can spend half the day sitting and still feel completely exhausted by the end of it? Or that you can finally sit down to supper and realize you're starving, even though you thought you ate reasonably well today? Maybe you're doing all the things you're told are good for you — trying to eat better, move more, get enough sleep, and manage your stress — yet somehow you still feel as though you're always trying to catch up with yourself. What if the problem isn't that you need another thing to do? What if we need to look at what your day has already asked of you — physically, mentally, and emotionally — before deciding what you need next? That's where we're going in this week's Wellness Letter, and I think you may recognize yourself somewhere in it.
The Cost of Never StoppingWe still have the same 24 hours in a day that we had thirty or forty years ago, so why does it feel as though there is never enough time anymore? Maybe time hasn't sped up. Maybe we've become very good at filling almost every available piece of it — physically, mentally, and emotionally — until even the moments when we appear to be resting aren't really empty anymore. What is all of that continuous occupation doing to us, and when did feeling tired, tense, distracted, and overwhelmed start to feel normal? If that question sounds familiar, read the full article here: The Cost of Never Stopping. ![]() Help Us Welcome Tropical Nectar to the Casaroma Family You don't have to go away to have a holiday! Who decided a holiday requires a suitcase? Sometimes what we really need isn't to go somewhere else. We need a little break from the pace of ordinary life — a few minutes when we're not thinking about what we need to do next. That's part of the inspiration behind our new Tropical Nectar blend. We blended the comforting sweetness of Vanilla, the lush, exotic floral notes of Champaca, and the bright, cheerful freshness of Tangerine to create a scent that feels like a tiny escape. Roll it on or spray it around you - your hair. Your skin. Close your eyes for a moment. Sit outside with something cold to drink. Put your feet up before supper. Stay a little longer in the garden. You haven't gone anywhere. But perhaps, for a few minutes, you've been on holiday. And maybe that's the kind of holiday we need more often. Tropical Nectar is available in many styles. We eat at our desks, in the car, in front of the television, or while thinking about the next thing that needs to be done, and then wonder why we arrive at supper starving or finish a meal without feeling particularly satisfied. What if good nutrition isn't only about what's on the plate? In this article, we're looking at what happens before, during, and after we eat — and why attention, pleasure, atmosphere, conversation, and even making the table somewhere you want to be may matter more than we realized. Read the full article → Here ![]() Movement Matters We often hear that we need to move more, but more isn't always what the body needs. Someone who has spent hours sitting at a computer has had a very different physical day from someone who has been standing behind a counter, repeating the same movements or doing demanding physical work. This week, Movement Matters isn't about step counts or adding another workout to your list. We're looking at how to recognize what your body has already been doing, why mental exhaustion, and physical exhaustion aren't always the same thing, and how movement, different movement, or even genuine rest can help bring us back toward balance. Before deciding what your body should do next, maybe the better question is: What has it already had too much of today, and what hasn't it had enough of? Across the country, damaged forests, wetlands and natural landscapes are being given the opportunity to recover, but it was the thinking behind some of this work that caught our attention. Sometimes restoration isn't about doing more or taking control — sometimes it begins by creating the right conditions and giving something the space to restore itself. Nature has been doing this for a very long time, and there may be something in that worth thinking about for ourselves. We'd Love Your Opinion! It looks like our Saturday Pickup location is going to need to change, we are hearing that it is too hard for people to park on Saturdays at the market during the summer months. Do you have suggestions on where you think we should go that would be easy for people to pick up the things they have ordered from us? We're considering adding another pickup location or perhaps a mid-week pickup, and we'd love to know what would work best for you. Watch for our upcoming survey—we'd really appreciate your thoughts.
Remember, We're Just a Phone Call Away. Our complimentary 10-Minute Connection Call is simply the online version of walking into our store and saying hello. Whether you have a question about a product, aren't sure where to begin, or would just like a little guidance, we'd be happy to chat.
And if you're looking for more personalized support, our Remote Wellness Consultations, Reiki, and Biofeedback appointments are always available, no matter where you live.
