Let’s Talk about Life...

Finding Answers, One Question at a Time

A Weekly Conversation about Your Everyday Concerns

Don't Forget this is our First weekend with a new date, time, and location.

October 4, we go to Bedford Place Mall Food Court on Sundays from 12-2pm for all of those people who want to pick up their orders and have a chat with Allana & Bette

This Week’s Conversation: A Thanksgiving Wellness Letter

Thanksgiving arrives next weekend, and we decided that waiting until next Saturday would leave very little time to carry anything from the Wellness Letter into your own celebrations. So this week, we are arriving at the table a little early. We are exploring gratitude from some unexpected directions: what we choose to notice in our everyday lives, the abundance and meaning held within a meal, the remarkable work our bodies do just to keep us moving, and what can happen when gratitude moves beyond appreciation and becomes generosity. Whether Thanksgiving is a large family gathering, a table for two, or simply another October weekend, there is something here for all of us to carry forward.

Feature Article - What are you giving your attention to?

What Are You Giving Your Attention To?

This week's feature article looks at the difference between recognizing a problem and allowing that problem to become the lens through which we see everything else. We explore how the things we repeatedly notice, say, and listen to can influence the way we experience our lives, and how discernment helps us decide what needs action, what needs acceptance, and what no longer deserves quite so much of our attention.

The difficult parts of life do not disappear when we notice what is beautiful. We are simply allowing the whole picture to come into view.

A View From My Window

What if Gratitude Doesn’t Need a Reason?

This week, Allana wonders whether gratitude always needs something specific attached to it. From a child learning to say thank you to the deeper appreciation of simply being here, she explores gratitude as an attitude we can bring to life—even when life itself is complicated. What might change if we didn’t always wait for a reason to feel grateful?

Celebrating Canada- One Province at a time

We are proud to be a Canadian company, and over the coming weeks we are shining a light on a different province or territory in each Wellness Letter. Canada has always meant a great deal to us, and this is our way of celebrating the customers, friends and families we have come to know across the country, while giving each region a little time in the spotlight.

We ship across Canada, from major cities to rural communities and throughout the territories, including Nunavut, and each week we will share a little of the food, culture, history, places and character that make that part of Canada unique. It is our way of welcoming the people we already know, introducing ourselves to those we have yet to meet, and celebrating the country we are proud to call home.

Nutrition- What The Body Is Built On

Nutrition- Have We Forgotten How Remarkable It Is to Have Enough?

This week, we look at the value of the traditional Thanksgiving table while making room for celebrations that look entirely different—and consider what changes when we recognize the abundance already sitting in front of us. We also have a delicious alternative Thanksgiving dinner to try. You will love this week's Pork Roast recipe

Movement Matters- Keeping The Body Capable

This week in Movement Matters — Keeping the Body Capable, Do You Know How Much Your Body Is Doing Just to Move You?

Walking, climbing stairs, reaching into a cupboard, or balancing on one foot can feel almost effortless—until one of those movements begins to change. This week, we look beneath these ordinary abilities at the remarkable coordination of muscles, joints, feet, eyesight, the inner ear, and the nervous system that keeps us moving, and why we shouldn't automatically dismiss a changing ability as “just getting older.” Whether you exercise every day or are working to regain movement, there may be far more happening in each ordinary step than you realize.

What Happens When Kindness Doesn’t Stop With You?

What happens after we feel grateful? We look at the point where appreciation becomes generosity, and one unexpected act of kindness has the opportunity to travel beyond the person who first received it. We revisit the story behind our Growing Gratitude Happiness Spray, share two ways to create a welcoming Thanksgiving aroma at home, and take a moment to tell you why your continued support of Casaroma means so much to Allana and me. This article includes 2 Recipes to try.
