Homemade Chai Latte

2 easy ways to enjoy a healthier version of the Chai Latte that you might get from a Starbucks or somewhere like that - make it your way, and enjoy! :)

Recipe 1

Prepare a jar of Chai Spice:

  • 4 tsp Cardamom

  • 4 tsp Allspice

  • 4 tsp Nutmeg

  • 4 tsp Cinnamon

  • 4 tsp Cloves

  • 3 tsp Ginger

  • 2 tsp Star anise

Put that all into a jar and leave it in your cupboard to be ready whenever you want it.

Heat one cup of milk on the stove (careful not to boil over)

1 cup of Milk of your choice (refer to our post about different kinds of milk and what they do)

Add in

2 tea spoons of spice mix

1 tsp vanilla

You can froth with a whisk or frother if you have one. This makes an amazing morning or relaxing evening drink.

If you want it sweeter you can add 1/2 teaspoon maple syrup, monk sugar or honey

Recipe 2

Extra simple version!

Here is another alternative to the Chai tea if you don’t want to make your own from scratch:

  • 1 tea bag of warmth tea (Tetley)

  • 1 scoop MCT powder

Fill your cup with boiling water, stir

Add 50/50 Oat and Coconut milk until you are happy with the colour and texture

Enjoy, this wonderful cup of heaven!
