— When a Room Needs More Than a Pretty Scent

There are times when we want a room to smell lovely, and then there are times when we walk into a kitchen after a strong meal, open a room that has been closed up for a few days, or notice that damp, stale feeling that can settle into the house and think, this room needs more than perfume. That is exactly where "Clear The Air" earns its place, because it was created as a strong, purposeful household spray rather than a light background fragrance.

The blend of Oregano, Cassia, and Cajeput essential oils gives it a very distinctive character. Oregano brings the strong herbal note, Cajeput adds that fresh, clear edge, and Cassia gives the blend its warm cinnamon depth. Together they create something that changes the aromatic feel of a room very quickly, which is why this is one of those products where a little really does go a long way.

I think that is the important difference between Clear The Air and a conventional air freshener. A lot of room sprays are designed to cover one smell with another, while "Clear The Air" was created for those moments when you want to shift the whole atmosphere of the room. After cooking, after a room has been closed up, during damp weather, or anywhere that the air feels heavy or stale, a few sprays can make the space feel very different.

And because it is such a strong blend, it is best used with intention rather than automatically throughout the day. Spray lightly, let it move through the room, and give the space a little air if needed. You do not need to saturate the room to get the benefit from it, and in fact, with a product this aromatic, using less usually gives a much nicer result.

We also want people to use a little extra care in homes with young children or pets, simply because their size and sensitivity are different from ours. If you have little ones in the home, spray when they are not directly in the room and allow the aroma to settle before they come back in. With dogs and cats, use it lightly and give them the opportunity to move away from the area if they want to.

For small animals such as rabbits, gerbils, and other little pets, I would be much more conservative and avoid spraying "Clear The Air" close to their cages or living spaces. Their world is much smaller than ours, so an aroma that feels moderate to us can be much stronger for them.

And if you have birds in your home, this is one product we would not recommend using indoors around them at all. Birds have very sensitive respiratory systems, and "Clear The Air" is too strong a blend for that environment.

That does not make this a product to be afraid of. It makes it a product to understand. Some blends are soft and comforting, some are designed to be diffused in the background, and some are made for a specific job. "Clear The Air" belongs in that last category.

It is the one you reach for when you want the room to feel fresher, clearer and changed.

Not a perfume for the house. A fresh start for the room.

This week’s Wellness Letter asks, “What am I taking in?” and looks at all the things in our surroundings that become so familiar we stop noticing them. The air in our home is one of those things. Cooking smells, closed-up rooms, damp weather, and everyday living can all change the atmosphere around us, even when we no longer consciously notice it. That is why we chose "Clear The Air" for this week’s sale — it gives us a simple way to become more intentional about what we are adding to the air we share and to give a room a fresh start when it needs one.
