Movement Matters: The Kitchen Counter Workout
After we shared our 7-Day Real Plant Challenge, we heard from people who wanted a printable version of the movement challenge from our Movement Matters article, too. So here it is.
One of the ideas behind Movement Matters was that we don't always need to find another large block of time in an already busy day before we can move more. There are little pockets of waiting time already built into our routines — the kettle is boiling, supper is cooking, the microwave is running, or we're standing at the counter waiting for the next thing.
We've taken four of the movements from our Kitchen Counter Workout — counter push-ups, supported calf raises, sit-back squats, and standing marches — and put them together on one printable page, along with a seven-day tracker.
Your challenge is 5 movement breaks a day.
Each time you stop at the counter and complete your movements, give yourself a check mark. There are five goal boxes each day and three bonus spaces if you find yourself fitting in even more.
Print the sheet, put it beside the kettle or on your fridge, and see what happens when you start noticing those little opportunities to move.
Then, if you like, email us your results @ info@casaromawellness.com and tell us how you did. We'd love to see how many check marks you have by the end of each week.
