ucalyptus Globulus 80/85 (China)
Fresh, penetrating, and unmistakably camphoraceous, this Eucalyptus globulus is standardized to 80–85% cineole, making it the highest-cineole eucalyptus we carry. Cineole is the molecule responsible for eucalyptus’ classic decongesting, clearing aroma — but high levels also mean it must be used with care.
Why the cineole level matters:
Stronger therapeutic action: Higher cineole offers more pronounced respiratory support in diffusers, inhalers, and steam blends.
Increased safety considerations: Oils rich in cineole can be too intense for young children and may feel irritating if used near the face. They also carry a higher risk of skin sensitization and should always be diluted well.
Not for children under 10: Following Tisserand & Young guidelines, high-cineole oils should not be used near the faces of children due to potential breathing suppression.
Suggested Uses:
Diffuse for clearer breathing and fresh, clean air.
Add (well diluted) to chest rubs, room sprays, or shower steamers for strong respiratory support.
Excellent for household cleaning blends because of its crisp, purifying scent.
Safety:
Avoid with children under 10.
Always dilute—cineole-rich oils can cause skin irritation.
Avoid near the face for anyone with sensitive airways.
External use only.
