properly is key to keeping the oils potency and longevity
Storing essential oils properly is rquired to preserve the oils potency. Like other natural products, they change over time.
To slow these changes they should be kept in a cool, dark space. Different oils have different rates of change. This is called shelf life. Grapefruit has the shortest and sandalwood and patchouli just get better with time.
For all essential oils the less frequently that you open the container the longer the product will stay fresh so it is often better and more economical to buy in smaller quantities unless you use a lot of oils. You won’t want to lose your lovely oils due to deterioration.
